Stephen,
I do advocate the person-to-person approach. I don't know of too many
people who still use the couch and face the patient away - not that that
approach isn't
still used. The influence of being therapeutically there for the patient,
empathically,
socially, etc, is to important to me. I just thought online chat gives one
the feel for that approach. Now I don't want to do case consultation... I'd
make up
my own issue.
I do, BTW, keep all client details confidential - in terms of ANY
identifying info.
What I mostly present are theoretical constructs for discussion as they come
to my
mind, not actual specifics of what to do when meeting a client.
Thanks,
Bruce
