Actually Ernst Mach had affiliation with Buddhism, and obviously could
discuss the facts of science if only as groupings of neutral "elements" of
experience.
Similarly some Asian scientists such as Japanese workers in quantum
electrodynamics have claimed inspiration from Buddhism. Thus Buddhism need
not involve rejection of the "facts" of science, in the sense of experiments
or observations.
