Tia:  You sound a lot like a friend of mine.  She began to feel  just
terible, had low grade fever, felt awful most of the time...a lot of the  same
symptoms, including the sores in the mouth and throat.  You could have  a
combination of undertreated thyroid, fibromyalgia, and (not to scare you) but  an immune
system disorder...as hers was...lupus.  I would definitely find a  dr. who
would look into this for you.
