In the northern hemisphere, we're about to begin
the summer vacation/holiday season. This is also
a time when students may be leaving school for a
summer break and/or perhaps matriculating.

These are times when managing your e-mail
subscriptions may be in order, so this message
is intended to remind you of the procedures for
placing your Thyroid account on hold, to keep
your account open even while receiving no mail.

Vacation Hold

If you want to suspend your Thyroid subscription,
send the message:

set Thyroid NOMAIL

to:

[log in to unmask]

Please remember that this does NOT remove you
from the membership list. It only suspends delivery
of Thyroid postings to your account until *you*
re-activate your own account with the

set Thyroid MAIL

sent to:

[log in to unmask]

when you return.

DIGEST HOLD

If you were receiving the Thyroid DAILY DIGEST,
you should re-activate with this command instead:

set Thyroid DIGEST

sent to:

[log in to unmask]
