I think Greg went into the techie side of this, but basically your confusion
is around the conversion of T4 -- T4 conversion to T3 does not 'negate' T3
from working. It is the presence of too much REVERSE T3 that can prevent
proper use of T3 in the body.

Thyrolar 1 grain contains 50 mcg of T4 and 12.5 mcg of T3
Ratio of T4:T3 = 4:1
