I've been on Armour for a year, and

If you're referring to resting pulse rate, what was it before you went on
Armour, not everyone's goes upward. As for bloated you mentioned Cortef and
Prednisone, I bloat on prednisone, feel fine on Cortef. At least one person
has mentioned the opposite. Actually, prednisone bloats in spite of Armour,
overall bloated feeling left when I went up to 6 grains of Armour and started
20mg daily of Cortef.

I'm assuming 20mg or so of Cortef daily, not large dosages?

When I started with my current doctor I wasn't sure I could tolerate more
Armour. I had chest pain for years, I knew it started long before thyroid
treatment but all the doctors talking about too much Armour causing heart
trouble was scary. IF I wasn't desperate, I wouldn't have asked for more.
When I did increase the Armour and got the Cortef, I felt much better. I
didn't know if that was my solution for sure until I tried it. I knew I had
no other one in mind.

I also wouldn't have tried timed release T3 if that was a perfect solution.
Eventually I will go back to Armour, hopefully smaller doses will suffice.

You may be correct that Armour isn't the right solution for you, but it could
turn out that you feel better with increases. Particularly if you have too
much reverse T3 (which isn't necessarily interpreted any better than TSH.)
If that's the case then you may need the Armour to go quite high or switch to
Wilson's protocol and remove all T4 for a while.

Everyone's different, that's why some people feel fine on just synthroid.
