Sure. As a matter of fact, the T3 has 3 atoms of iodine per molecule, the T4
has 4 atoms of iodine per molecule, and T2 has 2 atoms of iodine and so forth.
The iodine is bound to a larger group of other atoms, but to covert T4 to the
active T3, an iodine atom needs to be taken off and released elsewhere.
