Harry,

While I'm not aware of a setting in Chrome that can prevent page refreshes JAWS has a setting that may do what you want.

From a Web page press the JAWS key with the letter V for the Quick Settings dialog.

In the edit field type "refresh" without the quotes.

Arrow down and you'll find a Page Refresh option. The default is set for Automatic but if you press the space bar you can set this to Off.

There are two Page Refresh settings. The first is global, affecting all pages. The second is for the currently loaded Web page.

Subject: [VICUG-L] how to keep web pages from refreshing in Chrome

     Hi all,

First, to David and Mike, thanks for the posts about the difference between f5 and jaws key escape.

Now my question.

I looked in all the settings, for chrome, and I could not find how to stop chrome from refreshing web pages.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Harry
