Well, I use two methods.
To download the video as a Mp4 file.  Go to the address bar and just
before the y of youtube insert two s letters, in other words double s
and press enter.  This will take you to the site youtube downloader
and there you will find the download link for that video, press enter
on it.
To download the video as a Mp3 file, I use a free software called 4K
YouTube to MP3.
