The difference between f5 and insert+escape is that pressing the f5 key tells the Web browser to reload the page. Pressing insert+escape tells JAWS to refresh what's on the screen but the page itself stays as it is and does not reload.

You should also set the browser you are using not to refresh either either permanently or just for the time you are on a refreshable page/website.
Different browsers handle specific situations differently; so if you have an issue with one, as you are having with Realtor.com, try another.
You may be surprised as to what happens.

And you can always refresh the page, when and if needed, with f5 or the JAWS update page command insert+escape.
The 2 commands have slightly different results; so playing with them makes sense.
I don't quite understand the differences when they occur, but both have proven useful.
