Harry, I also could not find that flag in my instance of Chrome or Edge. It's possible that Google removed it. I guess I'm a little unclear as to why you want to prevent a page from refreshing. With the auto refresh feature set to off you may still see some data within a page changing if the page is set to update that data, such as a page reporting on an updated stock ticker.

Hi David,

I have that set to off, but it didn't work, the page still refreshes.

I'm going to let you see what I found on google.

You can try this, if you use chrome, and see if it works for you.

How to keep Chrome from letting web pages refresh step 1. Open Google Chrome and type "chrome://flags" into the address bar.

without the quotes.

step 2. Press Ctrl+F (or Command+F on a Mac) to open the search box.

step 3. then type "Tab Freeze" into the box.

without the quotes.

Harry's note--I tried the find and it said no results.

end of note.

step 4. Next to "Tab Freeze," select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu.

Restart Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Harry
