Dear philosophical community, A message from www.epistemelinks.com... EpistemeLinks.com has redesigned its philosophy discussion forums. Essentially there are now as many public discussion forums as their are philosopher and topic categories in the ELC database. That is 350+ philosophers and 40+ topics at present. And the system will automatically allow for the creation of new discussion forums as new categories are added to ELC. These forums are open to the public and do not require any kind of registration whatsoever! They are intended as a resource for those who wish to discuss the ideas of a particular philosopher or topic, ask a question in the hopes that another ELC visitor will know the answer, and so on. My hope is that students will find these forums particularly useful, though professors and researchers are encouraged to make use of them as well. -->To join a discussion forum already started, simply visit: http://www.epistemelinks.com/forums/index.asp All topics already have discussion forums created, and many philosopher categories do as well. -->To start a new discussion forum on a philosopher, simply visit the philosopher's result page and click the link at the top of the page. If there is no forum on that philosopher yet, one will automatically be created at that time! http://www.epistemelinks.com/Main/MainPers.asp These Discussion Forums will undoubtedly start slowly, but I suspect several will gain in usage in time. Some will never be very active, but that is the way of the things. Please pass this information on to your colleagues, and especially to your students who might benefit from such a resource. Comments and suggestions, as always, are appreciated. Best, Tom Stone, EpistemeLinks.com Messages to the list are archived at http://listserv.liv.ac.uk/archives/philos-l.html.
