EASI 4-part, fee-based Webinar Series: Streaming More Accessible Multimedia
Tuesdays July 10,17,24 and 31
Times: 11 AM Pacific, Noon Mountain, 1 PM Central, 2 PM Eastern

This series is fee-based, but they are free to EASI Annual Webinar members. Registration details are at the bottom of this announcement.

Besides watching 4 hour-long Webinars during July, participants will be provided with assignments for each week to do hands-on practice based on the Webinar content.
 
Week 1: Making audio presentations more accessible
This will have the participants downloading the open-source software, Audacity,
and learn creating audio and also basic editing.
Creating audio using a micand importing pre-recorded audio
 Removing part of a recording and pasting in new content
 Mixing a music track with a talking track
 Fading in and fading out
 Raising and lowering the track gain
 ading other sound effects

Week 2: making multimedia with Powerpoint
Creating a narrated PowerPoint with the user having control of the display
 Creating a narrated PowerPoint designed to stream like a movy
 Using the Lecshare wizard to add narration and captions to a Web version of
PowerPoint with the user controling its display
 Using the wizard to create a web-based movy with narration and captions
 
 Week 3: Making accessible videos using Camtasia
 (Participants who do not have Camtasia can download a 30-day demo.)
 Understand the features of Camtasia
 Import a video made by a digital video camera or use a sample video provided to
Webinar participants
 Planning foreground and background to improve accessibility
 Planning the script to facilitate users with visual impairments
 
Week 4: Posting accessible video to Youtube.
How to upload a video to Youtube
 Learning the accessibility tools in Youtube
 How to edit the transcript and captions created by Youtube
