Hi Kathy, That is great news. The surgery is fairly simple. they put a very thin tube, ( think angel hair pasta) in your spine, so that baclofen can drip into your spinal fluid, -- the container goes into a pocket of your skin usually in the region of your belly. It does not go into the stomach itself. This way they can refill it by inserting a needle through the skin into the container. You will feel a slight prick, but it the sting goes away quickly. Thanks, Tamar Raine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. I have had the trial and it was fabulous! I can, now, open my left hand (which I couldn't do before). ----------------------- To change your mail settings or leave the C-PALSY list, go here: http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?SUBED1=c-palsy ----------------------- To change your mail settings or leave the C-PALSY list, go here: http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?SUBED1=c-palsy
