Anyone familiar with examples which were penalized before this new

GOOD NEWS IN THE
BUILDING CODE |
Beginning
October 1, 2014, an amendment to the Building
Code will allow for the restoration and
replacement of historic details on Landmark buildings to extend to
their original depth. Currently, architectural details such as
cornices, eaves, bases, sills, and applied ornament sculptures
(among other features) can project no more than 10 inches beyond the
property line. As of this fall, the restoration of missing
architectural details on designated Landmarks will be permitted to
project to their original depth as long as they are 10 feet above
the
sidewalk. | |
