<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I was sad to read about people's experiences. Nothing tears a parent's heart out more than watching someone hurt our children (even inadvertently). But I also have to say that I think sometimes we tend to make too big of a deal out of The Diet and Disease, causing others to THINK it's a bigger deal than it is - and even become fearful of it. If we teach our kids early on to strictly stay away from gluten (my son is 7 and he wouldn't TOUCH it - also practices, "if I don't know if it's okay, I won't eat it"), we can rest assured that they'll politely say, "I can't eat that. May I please have an apple?" (Well, I'd be really happy if he was that polite all the time, but.....) The other day I sent him to a friend's house and forgot to tell the mom (okay, I'll get the mail about what a bad CD mom I am now!). Anyway, when she returned him, she said, "Wow, he is a great eater. I offered him cookies, but all he wanted was fruit! I wish my son ate that well!" Just keep in mind that attitudes are contagious....:) Danna
