Si, le "r" pote haber duo sonos in portugese: (1) le "r" usual del linguas
europee (/r/); (2) un fricativa uvular sonor, representate in le Alphabeto
Phonetic International per un "R" invertite (vide:
<http://ds.unil.ch/ling/english/phonetique/api32-eng.html#symb_inverted_cap_r>);
 illo pare esser simile al "r" francese.

In alcun regiones (in mi proprie maniera de parlar, per exemplo) iste
phonema se realiza como un /h/.

Le littera "r" ha iste sono:

- in le initio de syllabas, non precedite de vocal in le mesme parola:
  - "rato" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&%C8%D2atu>
  - "enredo" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&e)%C8%D2edu>
- in le gruppo "rr":
  - "arroz" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&a%C8%D2ojs>
  - "carro" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&%C8ka%D2u>
- in le fin de syllabas:
  - "carne" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&%C8ka%D2ni>
  - "horror" <http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&o%C8%D2o%D2>

Un "-r" final pote sonar /r/ si le parola sequente se initia con vocal:

- "beber įgua"
<http://odur.let.rug.nl/kleiweg_bin/phonetic?28&be%C7be%C8ragwa>
- "ver o rio"
