The Midwest Gambian Association Conference 2006
Labor Day Conference in Chicago
September 2nd-3rd 2006.


The Midwest Gambian Association hereby invites you to our 6th annual 
conference.

September 2-3, 2006.

The theme of this year’s conference:

"Vote 2006 - Beginning of our Third Republic or Continuation of Our Second 
Republic".




The Midwest Gambian Association has extended an invitation to all the 
political parties in The Gambia to have a representative be available for a 
conference call on Saturday September 2, 2006. During this call-in session, 
the representatives from the various political parties will have an 
opportunity to present their respective platforms as well as engage in a 
dialogue with the audience.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

We have blocked or will block a number of rooms at Majestic Star Casinos & 
Hotel (located at 21 Buffington Harbor, Gary, Indiana 46406) under the 
Gambian Association of Chicago. The cut-off date for making reservations to 
qualify for the special rate of $50:00/night plus $5.50 tax for double 
occupancy is 09/01/2006.  The reservation number is 219-977-9999.  This is 
where the conference will be held too.  Also, see directions to hotel.





DIRECTIONS TO ACTIVITIES:

CONFERENCE:

FROM SOUTH SIDE / NORTH SIDE OF DOWNTOWN CHICAGO

Take 90/94 Express Way (east) to Indiana (do not take the skyway) and exit 
on Cline Avenue North.  Take Cline Avenue North to Industrial Blvd and make 
a left at the "T" intersection at the end of the exit.  You will see the 
sign that leads you to the Trump Hotel and Casino.  Alternatively, once on 
Industrial Blvd., bear right and go to the stoplight (you will see a gas 
station on your left).  Make a right at the stoplight and you will be led 
right into the hotel parking lot.  If you somehow get lost please call the 
hotel for directions.



EVENING GALA @ 2051 East 79th Street    (DONATIONS APPRECIATED)

FROM THE NORTH SIDE /WEST SIDE/SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO

Take 90/94 Express Way (DAN RYAN), exit at 87th St. Go east (that means make 
left if coming from Downtown and right if coming from South of 87th St). Go 
for about 3 miles to Jeffrey blvd and then make a left (going North). Go to 
79th St. then make a right. Address (2051 East 79th St.) will be about 1 ½ 
blocks on your right hand side.
*Jeffrey is about 4 blocks East of Stony Island. So once you get to Stony 
Island,    start keeping an eye out for Jeffrey Blvd.



SOCCER FIELD/PICNIC: JACKSON PARK (61ST & STONY ISLAND)

FROM THE NORTH SIDE / WEST SIDE OR SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO

Take 90/94 Express Way (DAN RYAN), exit at 63RD. Go east (that means make 
left if coming from Downtown and right if coming from South Side) all the 
way to Stony Island. Make a left (go north) on Stony for about a block.  You 
should see the park on your right. Cornell St. flanks the field to the east 
and Stony Island to the West.  You can only park on Stony Island.  Please 
obey parking regulations, as the police will be busy during that weekend 
ticketing folks found to be in violation.
