What a mess!!!. I feel for the wives and children of this men. I have little
remorse for the group. When we speak up against their close ties with Yahya,
they use to frown and brag against us, now they are enjoying the bitter
pill. I remember boarding a car with younger brother of a then military
chief. When the discussion touches on politics, this man started using all
sorts of words in support of Yahya. Now his brother is languishing in
Jail on flimsy grounds...
We have more to lose than gain in speaking out against Yahya. However, it is
the right thing to do. I hope Lang and co can be strong enough for mile two.
Just last year, during my research on Jaliba Kuyateh, I can still remember
Jaliba telling his fans, "Lang Tombong Tamba will be coming with the
Senegalese minister of Sports".. he was the darling then. Now his brain in
frying, such is the hazard of romancing a dictator...
Bii diyaa, sama kuyaa. The love of the limelight will destroy many a
