Positive Images Multicultural Festival
                                                                                                            16th April 2009
To
All interested participants

Dear Sir/Madam,
Multicultural Book & Craft Fair 2009

Planning is under way for the annual Positive Images Multicultural Festival 2009. An important component of the festival is the Multicultural Book & Craft Fair, which will be held on Saturday 20th June 2009 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. This extremely popular fair gives visitors to the city centre a chance to appreciate diverse arts and crafts, to view books from specialist suppliers and to find out more about services in our city. The event is held under covered stalls. I am inviting you to take part in this fair, which will be held in the city centre, just outside the Central Library. The fee is just fifteen pounds per stall.

This Fair enables visitors to the City Centre to view books as well as jewellery, clothes, crafts, etc. representing a diversity of cultures.

We also hope that participants like yourselves benefit tremendously from this event. With this in mind, we are making promotional opportunities available to all participants in the Multicultural Book & Craft Fair. Each stallholder will be given a five minute slot on the raised platform for promotion of their stall. So, if you are a stockist of musical instruments, could you arrange a five minute drumming demonstration or a tabla demonstration? If you run a writers’ group, could you recite a poem? On the form that is being sent out to you, could you please indicate what you propose to do? We are also requesting you to start thinking of special offers and any short but exciting activity that will draw people to your stall.

We also urge you to bring along a number of inexpensive items for sale.

Every year we produce a programme booklet which lists all events taking place during the three week festival period. The booklet also carries advertisements. The cost of an advert is £150 for the back cover, £125 for the front inside and back inside page, £100 for a full page and £75 for half a page. Alternatively, you can sponsor a page for £25. Dimensions will be supplied to you as soon as you inform us about your decision to advertise. Every year we produce thousands of booklets, which are distributed very widely all over the city.

In case you would like more information, please do not hesitate to email [log in to unmask]  or [log in to unmask]

Yours sincerely,
Colin Scott
