Culled ffrom Daily Observer

Sources close to the department of Immigration have revealed that there is
considerable shortage of the recently introduced computerised passports at
the Immigration department, Banjul.

Sources said the department has been suffering from the shortage for the
past six months and has to resort to renewing the old manually printed
passports, which were phased out several years ago.

Contacted for clarifications, the director of Immigration, Mr Faburay,
confirmed that their machine was faulty but declined to comment further. "I
am not here to answer any questions," he tersely said.
