Folks,

Either way, this is a double loss on us -here is a wife who is forever gone (dead), and there is the poor husband who is currently hospitalized.

The crime committed (bodily harm and death) on both is wrong, and I join the many of you to condemn it with the strongest terms.

I ask God Almighty to show mercy to the deceased, and a faster recovery to the husband. I only hope and pray that the husband is not the killer, and either way, justice should take its way. "let justice guide our actions."

According to the filed news, there is no indication that the husband is the killer as yet. It appears for now that they are all victims of some tragedy. until the truth is finally established, it will be wrong to pass judgment in a way that hurts the family members and friends of both the victims.

thanks for sharing guys...

Mansali
I think i made myself clear by saying that am not in any way
defending his act. I also got the story just few hours after it happened
from people who are very close to them but still I reserve my judgement
until i see or read all the facts.
Mansali, Mr. nyan´s wife poured hot oil over him and that cost him his life
but no one here heard your voice on that one.
I dont stick to what you know but am waiting for the results
of the investigations then i can comment on it. Did you read the comments from
their neighbours?
Mansali i was simply saying that we should not jump into conclusion. Its your
right say or write your heart out.

Have a blessed Day

Lamtoroh,
how did you know i dont have a clue of what happened between the two?
you dont have a clue if i know or dont know what happened between the two OK. back it up u dont know what i know.
regardless of what i know n know-not, its coward, inhuman to butcher a woman u claim to love. i condemned it period, u have all right to support him if you are like-minded. i hate men that beat on women period.
how would you feel if your love one was the victim of such stupid acts, talking about human reactions.
as a gambian, i dont feel proud to read such reports on western paper, i would rather read better things.
am glad Cham rest his case or defense or whatever you call it.
what kind of worldly issue should lead to this stupid action n attempted to kill himself, he should have kill himself and spare the young lady for the sake of their son and her parents.
He have personal , serious issues he needed to fix.
Later Mans

I dont think thats love, maybe animal(lion or tiger) love . the man should have obtain some help from friends, family or experts. it is simple stupidity, weakness or disease. come on, broken heart not knowing she is someone's daughter, sister, mum. how about if someone you know or related was victimize like that.
pls dont try to justify such wicked and inhuman actions, such behaviors towards women should be condemn period.

i heard about it yesterday, the girl is from Bakau I heard and the man is a very educated man with a Phd.
i guess his education was a curse and a waste of time if he can act like this to wife who carried his son. makes no damn sense, let her go and move on, so many other women out there.
very very sad.

Police to question husband of Gambian woman killed in UK
Thursday, 03 June 2010 17:12
By Yusupha Cham
Police in the UK are looking forward to question a Gambian man, Sheik Saine, whose estranged wife was killed in what is still an unclear circumstance.
According to the Herald Scotland, the woman, Fatou Saine, 33 years of age, who lived in an area called Greenock, was murdered on Tuesday in the St Enoch Square branch of RS McColl’s.
Fatou’s husband, Sheik Saine, is said to be in hospital after suffering serious stab wounds himself to the stomach and because of that reports say he is unable to speak to police about the possible cause of his wife’s death.
Fatou was stabbed to death at the newsagent where she worked, the Herald Scotland report said.
Although there has been no report of a direct connection to the stabbing of the husband and the murder of his wife yet, witnesses reported that the two had some problem, causing Fatou to move out of their flat where she was staying with her husband and another man believed to be a lodger. The report added Fatou move out into a flat she rented by herself in a nearby street.
“Both of them were lovely, lovely people and it is such an awful shock to hear what happened,” the Herald Scotland quoted a neighbor of the two as saying. “I used to chat to them quite a lot but I would say that he changed quite a bit after his wife left, and wasn’t as chatty.”
Another neighbor told the Herald: “We would see the husband quite a lot, standing out on the steps smoking and using his mobile phone. They were nice, pleasant people.”
The report said that forensic examinations had been started at the flat where the couple was leaving.
Flowers were laid outside the newsagent for Ms Saine, who is understood to have had a young son in her native Gambia, the paper said.
