"Deyda Hydara has decreed through his life and death, and through the
shattering experience of his family, that Gambians must wake up from their
slumber and reassess the realities of their situation; that their
consciences shall demand ‘no crimes with impunity’ until this spreading
epidemic of violence and savagery is flayed from our midst." by Dr Lenrie
Peters paying tribute to Deyda Hydara (Courtesy of Deyda Hydara

The late Dr Lenrie Peters worried by the disgusting, utter disregard of
life and slaying of Deyda Hydara by criminal thugs (most likely
commissioned by Jammeh) admonished Gambians to fight the insidious violence
and savagery taking over Gambian society. He reminded us that prevention is
better than curing. If Gambians do not wake up from their slumber we're
headed towards the same direction as Liberia and Sierra Leone. Lest we
forget.Again Bravo to Ndey Tapha Sosseh and her crew. Keep it up! Your
stance will make Peters and Deyda Proud. regards,
