It just seems like you're always diametrically opposed to my thoughts, in
which case your admiration for me is not readily discernible. I mean I am
the sum total of my thoughts Bailo. Am I really that bad??? I gotta take an
inventory of myself therefore!! Wait a minute, how do I know you have not
just become crazy Bailo??? Prove otherwise before I embark on landmark
overhaul of my otherwise excellent self.

I don't wanna hear about diametrically opposed to my thoughts sometimes.
Who have you ever heard express opposition to other in such a manner???
Diametrically opposed. WHy couldn't it just be opposed??
You don't know who you're messing with. I ain't the one. WHy don't you go
after Yahya?? He does more actual damage than Haruna. What is wrong with yew
 Bailo?

Haruna.

Haruna,

When did you also get affected by the Yahya Jammeh syndrome? If you want
me to keep my thoughts to myself on issues that you raise, I might as well
start trying to do so. However, I thought you would have by now discerned
that I find it absolutely difficult to be mute over issues of interest to me
and when I do share my feelings, I try to do so without ill-intent or
ill-will. It is therefore unfortunate that you wondered whether I was opposed
to you or your ideas. Please don't send your squad against me.

To answer your question, sometimes I am diametrically opposed to your
thoughts and at all times I admire you for your humanitarian endeavours towards
alleviating the circumstance of others.

Anyway, I need a break as well. And don't start searching for me.

Best wishes!

Bailo

Yes Bailo you're a brilliant man. I don't have time to argue with you this
weekend so forgive me. It is Zulu culture to eat the brains of folk too
after it is thoroughly cooked and seasoned. My friend reminds me there is a
little known culture of sharing wives too and FGM. Respecting your culture
Bailo means harnessing it for value, NOT repeating debilitating traditions.
Oh and South Africans did not vote for Zuma so they can have the unique
privilege of taking care of his wives and children. That was not on the
ballot. Whether or not they knew Zuma to be polygamist. I suppose Bailo that you
would encourage wizardry, voodoo, maraboutism, just because the clueless
idiot Yahya happens to abhor it. Bailo, seriously, are you for real or are
you screwing around again???? Do you just like to oppose me or are you
really opposed to the ideas I share???

Let me chat with you this way Bailo;

You know in Gambia, culturally speaking, most men who call themselves
muslim are polygamist. Right? Ok. So having elected Yahya President the Gambian
people elected him knowing he is probably a polygamist and philanderer.
Right? So if Yahya decides to marry 5 wives, and you know he can, should they
live on the taxpayer's dime or is that Yahya's private affair to handle
privately???

This brings me to another idea Bailo. Let's say you become the next
President of Gambia by seizing power somehow or fenagling your way there. And
let's say you were not married at the time but you had say 3 girlfriends. Is
the Gambian state (taxpayers) supposed to cater to all your first
friends?????? Because you know being a man, and not married, the voters are supposed
to know you must have girlfriends. And you are not obligated to marry them
once you become President.

Bailo, when we discuss public policy issues, we do so with our eyes to the
horizon. In law its called precedence. Are you really this callous to
invoke respect of cultures in this selfish and corrupt state of affairs for
South Africa? When I spoke on Zuma, I was really addressing other clueless
idiot Presidents in the World. Not just Africa. I am tired Bailo. Please let
me rest. Muhammad friggin Muhammad.

Haruna. You are worse than Mams Bailo. Men.

   Haruna,

The South African electorate knew that Zuma was a ploygamist before
electing him as their President. So the consideration of which of his wives the
State should cater for need not even arise. The State should take therefore
take care of all of them or none at all. I guess the South African State
would also be taking care of his many children. No big deal! At the end of
the day, let him just deliver the goods and services for which he was
elected for.

I love the Zulus. They respect their culture.

Preposterous. I fully support President Zuma's desire to have more than
one wife but it is unconscionable for the state to be resposible for the
maintenance of more than one First Lady at a time. I think the South African
government ought to only cater to one first lady at a time and President
Zuma can rotate eligibility among the wives as he sees fit. The funds expended
to maintain the other wives should be appropriated for the construction
and maintenanced of Children's Homes and micro-finance for widowers.

This is egregious policy. Why should the citizens of South Africa be
responsible for their President's multiple wives???? Unconscionable. Haruna.

South Africa doubles wives' budget for Jacob Zuma

Jacob Zuma has been married five times

South Africa's official spending on the family of the president has
doubled under the leadership of Jacob Zuma - who has three wives and 20
children.
Government minister Collins Chabane said Mr Zuma's family expenses were
15.5m rand ($2m; £1.3m) - up from 8m rand under his predecessor Thabo Mbeki.
It covers his wives' travel, mobile phones, staff and general expenses.
Mr Zuma's lifestyle has been under scrutiny after it emerged he was months
late in declaring financial interests.
Critics accused him of breaking the official code of conduct - allegations
he denied.
Presidential perks
Details of the family expenditure come after a declaration of Mr Zuma's
interests and gifts, which he submitted earlier this week.
Although the document has not been made public, local media reported that
the president's list included blue silk robes, bed sheets and sunglasses-
apparently a gift from Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

MRS JACOB ZUMA

Thobeka Mabhija - married, January 2010 (above)
Nompumelelo Ntuli - married, January 2008
Sizakele Khumalo - married, 1973
Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma - divorced, 1998
Kate Mantsho Zuma - died, 2000

And it was claimed that Mr Zuma's second wife, Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma,
lives rent free in a eight-bedroom mansion owned by two businessmen.
Although his wives and family have no designated role, they are expected
to accompany the president on official trips.
In a written answer to a parliamentary question, Mr Chabane said the wives
also supported a number of charities.
"The state provides all reasonable administrative, logistical and other
support to the spouses to enable them to meet these responsibilities in a
manner that permits them actively to pursue their own careers and interests
if they so desire," he said.
The AFP news agency reports that Mr Zuma's children are classified as
financially dependent until they reach the age of 27, as long as they are
studying and not married.
Although the total budget set aside for Mr Zuma's wives is higher than
under Mr Mbeki, South Africans will pay less, per wife, than they did for Mr
Mbeki's wife Zanele.
Since taking office in 2009, the 68-year-old has been dogged by
allegations about his private life, and his government has faced growing unrest among
poor South Africans over a lack of basic services such as water and
sanitation.
But Mr Zuma has indicated that he would stand for office again.
