Alieu, thanks for your comments and your interest. 
There is definitely a political tone.  That is why I
stated that "...So THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT POLITICS" 
meaning that even though there will be a political
side to it, we will also discuss other issues, and try
to use this garthering to come together as Gambians in
this region, to form a stronger alliance in order to
be able to do some of the things I mentioned in my
previous e-mail.  so, Yes, the answer to your question
is Yes, there is a political side.  but that is not
all.  We want to use this event to anchor on other
non-political issues that we can assist Gambia in. 
hence my statement that 'regardless of your political
alliances or lack thereof.'  i want every Gambian,
african, non african- basically every human being to
feel free to attend.  those who are not interested in
politics don't have to participate in the political
aspect of it.  And those whose political opinions
differ from the speakers can express their opinions,
as long as it is done in
