Joe:

It is you that thinks your mention of Imam Baba leigh is personal to Yero and I do not think that.Besides, if you addressed an issue about him, and the man was guided by some spirit from heaven to come and reassure everyone that he is still sincere to his beliefs, isn't that good for rejoinders then? Why would forwarding such a letter with my analysis on it give anyone headache? I equally don't get it Joe.

A point to note here Joe, my life as far as Gambai's matters is not in immediate harm's way.If you follow my way of threading here and elsewhere, I refused to make this struggle about my facial appearance. To me, it is those in harm's way. I refused to abuse or be a conspiracy to even those that come in pen names in our own forum to castigate others in the shade of darkness. This, I hold true and sincere.

As far as the Imam goes, I do not have any relationship other than just the status of him being Gambian. I belong to a different school of thought with him. I am not fighting for him because he is an imam. I fought for others who don't even believe in God. That is not a choice, it is a principle Joe. What I believe is, the Imam like the many other victims are cornered. To be realistic, we must not let the devils in us carry to us to unawares by victimizing the victim when the oppressor should be blamed. The story of the calf that got bitten by the wolf and she retreated to the shepherd in way of getting to safety hands, and there stood this shepherd giving her additional lashes for falling prey of this wolf. does this make sense my friend?

Best,

Yero

Yero, I still do not get why comments made about Imam Baba Leigh be so personal to you? If my comments were about you, yes, you have all the reasons to take it personal. However, my comments and that of others were not about you, yet you are taking it very hard. If I understand the fixation, then I can address your concerns. But I'm sorry I don't. This thread was passed over a long time ago, yet, you still insist on dragging folks back to it, Why? If you are fighting a cause I just need to know that. Have I ever disrespected you here or any where else? The answer is no. Just pause for a minute. My comments were and are still about Imam Baba Leigh and our difference of opinion should just stop at that. However, when you are almost assuming the person of the Imam then I'm scratching my head. The Imam being a spirital leader, I am left with only one option - that you may be operationalizing some Fatwa I still do not understand, unless one is serving as a desciple and I do not mean any disrespect. Just incase you missed it, I am working on being here on an observer status since I am not yet packed up headed for Gambia, but you are not making it any easier for me. I thought there is enough feed to go around with the Raleigh exchange and all the essentials that go with it, but nope, Yero had to raise this one from the dead. Since the issue was burried, the Imam has gone Super Kanja, Domoda, Yassa, Benechin, Mbahal, etc., Waye Yanghi Des Chi Bierr Batey! The Imam has peace with Yaya, why are we still here talking about it? It is now a non-issue - dead and gone.

Joe,

You have made your opinion here always and debated things in a similar way. Unlike some of the others who never meet us, you are different. I have met you in Chicago, in Wisconsin, in DC , In Minnesota, In Atlanta and the unending list. Not that it even matters. I am just saying with due respect to you, I see the same mud deception in you.

There is certainly that truth....that I do not involve in petty stuff, garuwareh and whatever that means. Well, you come here always and address things in a general way, just similar to what I did. So, what problem do you (Joe) have that you are able to address matters and you think I cannot address in a general way? & I standby every word of mine in there coming from my heart. What struggle or consistency do you have that some of us are not doing? Do you see some problem here...or some deception?

Joe, let us maintain the same respect that we have always enjoyed. To want to get things to some level, we will extend this debate....

As far as I am concerned, those that have stuff to offer, are doing just that. To get these forums reduced to some name callings and insults, I dont think I will let anyone get to that.

I am here Joe....let's debate this....and good having you today.

Yero

Yero, my first instict was to just ignore what Kejau rightfully pointed as Garwalleh and if you attempt to tell us it is not garwalleh, then you cannot blame some of us for seeing your hand at deception. I'm just at a loss. I do not have a problem speaking my mind on Imam Baba Leigh or any soul for that matter, so, what is this sermon about? Some of you are beginning to sound like talibehs and that is not why we are here. When the man was in custody I made my opinions known and when he got out I made my opinions known. You have a different opinion, life goes on. So, what seems to be the problem? We agreed to disagreed, that is all that happened here and nothingelse. I'm sorry but I do not get the fixation on this one. My opinion stands and I am not trapped by anything. My mind is always free and very clear. I think the angle is unnecessary. An Imam apologizing for doing nothing wrong you do not see a contradiction there but come here to preach about apology form Joe. I did not speak my mind in closed doors but out in the open. Yero, if the Imam was Pope or Rabbi, I will still speak my mind and you know that. Thus, what are trying to accomplish here? You are taking other's opinions personal and I wonder why, especially when your name is not Imam Baba Leigh.

Well folks, those that are quick to make conclusions always find themselves trapped in some unawares. Spoken and written words are subjected to different interpretations. It is your interpretation, my own and the real interpretation. In anyway, I am sticking out my neck again...it calls for full awareness that some of these folks are clearly victims. We must be careful in jumping to conclusions. Otherwise, we risk demonstrating the same tendencies we are accusing Jammeh of. Gambia's current struggle requires great carefulness. We must weed out Jammeh and his hypocrisy. Equally, attitudinal change is also needed. In doing this, a clear distinction between the victim and the oppressor must be noted. Those that are seeking to replace Jammeh must act mature and offer better things than what jammeh has constantly shown gambians. In anyway, it is our Gambia....all of us. What Gambia do we want out kids and grandchildren to inherit? That answer lies in each and everyone's hands.

Going by the way the man is handling himself, he still remains the same. Like the lawyers normally argue, it is better to fight from the outside. I once again congratulate the Imam for being steadfast and sincere. We will keep it honest and sincere with those that keep it honest and sincere with us.

My 2 cents....and for those interested, here is a nice letter to all of you. Like they say in Pularr, "Onn fof, onn jaramah!"
