Bakary:
I was not offended by the term. What I wrote in response to your use of the
term was more tongue in cheek than anything else. So I guess you don't mind
if I call you "Kotu.".

Anyway, I agree with most of what you've said except for the point that the
US is indifferent to the plight of Palestinians. The USA cannot afford to
let this degenerate cuz we all know that the war will be brought here
otherwise.

This said, I also understand why the USA will continue to back Israel, for
they made a commitment to give them land plus protection after WWII. The
feeling is that the Jews had been persecuted to the point where they deserved
to be protected. It is also important to note that Palestinians did agree to
a Jewish State next to what would be theirs. Also, because the Americans
want hegemony over the region they need a secure and stable ally. The Arab
states have shown that they are not to be trusted and it is just natural in
modern day politics for a country to work towards to it's own interests. The
USA is no exception to this rule.

Some of the territories occupied today were gained as a result of what one
could call the "spoils of war" after Gamal Abdel Nassr plotted to attack and
destroy Israel. After this security became a major issue since the Arab
states were intent on wiping Israel of the map. The recent suicide bombings
and Katshuya rockets from Hezbollah controlled territory has not helped
improve this situation.

Point is almost everyone in Israel and the USA wants to see a Palestinian
homeland. Only problem is Israel will not budge if they continue to get
attacked and in my estimation, this is a natural reaction. For this reason, I
think it is in the best interest of the Palestinians to stop the attacks and
instead seek more viable solutions for peace. I am confident that if this is
done, Israel will stop the incursions.

The main reason I have a problem with your 'ranting & raving' about the USA
prior terroristic activities is because it does not offer a solution to the
problem but harps about issues that are almost irrelevant. After all, almost
every nation has supported wrong causes and committed atrocities. In this
light, are we to view every nation as a 'big terrorist.' As you can clearly
see, this tactic points the finger but offers no solution. What is your
solution to the problem in the light that Israel is not only to here, but
also cuz they will always be an ally of the USA?
