Subject: Who is Who in The Gambia

Dear Sir/Madam,

It is with pleasure that we write
to inform you of our ongoing efforts to research and publish a book on Gambians,
who through their achievements have made considerable contributions to national
development.

The first Who is Who was
published in 1849, not to confer distinction, but to recognise the distinction
and influence of leading men and women in society. The publication of a ‘Who is
Who’ for the Gambia is therefore an attempt to document and recognise the
achievements and contributions of all people, who through their life and career
have significantly contributed to the socio-economic development of The Gambia
from pre independence to date.

Since it is a fact
that today’s records serve as historical reference for future generations, the
information published in this book will preserve a portion of Gambian history.
Of key importance also, is that the publication will recognise and encourage
patriotism, dedication to hard work and entrepreneurship, which are key
ingredients for nation building.

It is in this regard therefore that we write to seek your
nomination(s) for inclusion in the publication. Please feel free to forward this
form to anyone you feel is appropriate, or to request for a form that you can
print and fill by hand.

‘Who is who in the Gambia’ will be published by Toplink Consulting in
2012. Toplink Consulting are the publishers of the Marketplace Magazine,
and also publishers of the Gambia Business Directory since 1996.

Yours faithfully,
Toplink Publishing
