Upload the files to a folder on any cloud storage account such as drop box, skydrive, box, or Google drive to name a few. Make the folder either private or public. Then send a link of the said folder to the intended recipient (s) via email. They will be able to download the files. 

If ftp is your thing, drivehq.com  and filegenie.com offer free online ftp services.
