Habib et al:
I feel your pain as it concerns the Palestinian/Israeli confrontation. In
fact, as I type this I am listening to a great reggae song by Benjamin
Zephaniah called Palestine. To listen to a rasta perspective of this, go to

Anyway, my opinion is that this is not about the nature of Jews. Trying to
persecute Jews as a results of events of late is unfair. We should try and
stay away from this tactic lest we lose objectivity as it pertains to this
issue.

Given Israel was formed as a result of conspiracy to create a Jewish state,
but it is too late to expect the people who live there now to pack up and
leave. To expect this to occur would be to engage in wishful thinking.
However, to expect them to return to pre-1969 borders and thuse facilitate
the creation of a Palestinian state is a resonable expectation.

I favor no one in this conflict. IMO, both parties are at fault. As the old
saying goes, "an eye for an eye will leave you blind."
