 In this edition;

1. Mali celebrates the 50th anniversary of its Parachute Commandos, the 33rd Regiment. A special commemoration for President ATT and General kafougouna Kone. Simply beautiful. Mali's birds.

2. ATT inaugurates tomorrow, The Segou Art and Culture Village. It is a clearinghouse of sorts for Artists and artisans of Mali and their Guilds. It is constructed on 2 hectares and costed 1.3 billion Fcfa. You can view the concept of the Village at www.thegdp.org on our slide presentation. I love the architecture, don't you? ECONOMIC GROWTH.

3. ATT will then head on to San and Koutiala to inaugurate the Public Lighting and storm drains Projects. San is the home of fishing in Mali. It is claimed that fishing in Mali and perhaps the subregion began in San and so every year, San celebrates its invention of fishing. San and Koutiala are also the White Gold (cotton) capital of Mali. I love San and Koutiala. I think they should start covering storm drains to prevent blocking by debris which accelerates flooding in the communities.

4. PM Cisse Mariam Kaidama Sidibe receives officials of mining company I'AMGOLD. Benjamin Dallow, the company's Director explains his company has been working in Mali (Sadiola) for 20 years now. The company plans major capital expansion in two other regions.

5. Mali Youth Camp of the Bamako Lions Club holds its 7th summit and workshop. Leadership and Volunteerism highlighted as is customary for the Lions Club Organization. Thank you Lions Club. Ministers Cisse and Niang add perspectives. Youth from some 16 nations of the region participated in a march celebrating the spirit of the Lions Club International.

6. Diaspora Malians collaborate with the EU and ECOWAS to initiate 13 development projects in Mali. I commend the EU particularly for offering alternatives to economic migration of Mali's youth.

7. A coalition of 44 political parties hold a press conference on their work toward developing a concensus and valid electoral list for the 2012 elections. Also ADM political party meets to discuss their appreciation of the Constitutional Reforms that President ATT proposes.

8. Algeria convenes a meeting of nations of the Sahel (Algeria, Mali, Mauritania, and Niger) to consider security in the Sahelo-Saharan region.Whatever happened to ATT's call for these idiots to meet in Bamako for this purpose some two years ago?????? I guess Algeria is now nervous enough. I think they should go to Bamako for this friggin meeting. Idiots!!!

9. Ivory Coast installs the newly formed Dialogue, Truth, and Reconciliation Committee as promised by President Ouattara. The committee of 11 is headed by ex Prime Minister Charles Konan Banie and includes Footballer Didier Drogba, the king of the Nzima kotoko tribes, the archbishop of Boake and the head of the Ivory Coast supreme council of Imams.

10. Cameroon prepares for its elections to be held in October this year. The electoral list has been expanded to include diasporan Cameroonians. Earlier this year, Cameroon has undertaken a comprehensive registration of its citizens in the diaspora at their local embassies. It was a sight to behold. There are some 50 contestants for the presidency of Cameroon and even though several parties have considered coalescing to present a unique candidate, other parties have asserted that even after a coalition presents a unique candidate, they are not guaranteed success in a dictatorship if the election is not FREE and FAIR. Alternatively, if the election is FREE and FAIR, one of the opposition parties is GUARANTEED to win against the incumbent dictatorship. They said they are aware that dictators do not organize elections that they can lose but that the dictator's electoral fortunes depend on the voters of Cameroon. I love Cameroon.

11. OMVS (The Senegal River Authority - mali, Senegal, La-Guinea, Mauritania) reviews its projects in the prevention of waterborne diseases.

12. Mali's Potato growers Association hold their pre-season congress. I love Mali. They want to produce the best potatoes this side of the Africa Green Belt.

13. Mali's Pesticide Action Network, PAN-Mali considers the proper disposal of obsolete and toxic pesticides. I bet they still don't have an organic pesticide research mechanism at their university campuses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very funny. And they rely on Britain to help them dispose of the toxic chemicals. The kingdom that brings them the mosquito 2.0!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't have religion (HarunaSilo) I'd think PAN-Mali is not well.

14. Foulabula in Bougouni plants to aide reforestation. Good on you Bougouni. Like I said, you don't get to appear on TV until each family plants and maintains as many plants as there are members of the family. Or at least every newly-wed couple plants two. And if you have 10 wives, you plant that many Gaddamit.

15. Enjoy a special magazine on Mali's brand spanking new Administrative Village. Allez.

Please go to www.thegdp.org, click on Mali News from the News & Info sidebar and play on JT ORTM du 06 Sept. 2011.

Thank you.
Haruna. I love you all. I think.
