[…‘‘They
argued that by virtue of their respective positions, they could not disobey
executive directives contained therein. The 3rd accused person has also
intimated in his cautionary statement to the police that the instructions
contained in exhibit E for the removal, arrest, and prosecution of Justice Wowo
were indeed executive directives from His Excellency the President of the
Republic of The Gambia,’’ he said, adding that where appropriate, His
Excellency the President of the Republic can cause the removal of a judge from
office. …](The Point, 12/20/2013).

Folks,

I think Bro
Malcolm’s statement above was going to serve many years after he is gone. The
trio has been hit by the same mallet of injustice that buried many other
descent citizens. There are those of our citizenry that choose to side with the
tyrant. As it stands, all of trios were one time big men within the
administration enjoying the prime time on GRTS and giving executive orders that
were not representing democratic principles, rather ones that served their
personal interest. While as humanitarians, activists, and legally conscious people,
we are sympathetic and sensitive to what our UK-based learned legal mind LJD
calls Gambia’s “public lawlessness,” it will be hard to sympathize with the
ones that participated in the construction of the evil pillars. The trios were
no small fishes in that pool of the evil empire, and as such, it is conclusive
to say that hell was prescribed for the evil doers, so the prisons will be reserved
for these political masquerades, topmost is the criminal leader himself (Yaya
Jammeh) whose sad days are evidently limping in the gutters at a very high
speed. It is clear from the above quote from the Point Newspaper that the
biggest political hypocrite is Yaya Jammeh. Apparently, he uses the Ngogus and
later on, uses that to bring charges against them. For now, I am sure I am not
the only one observing the dramatic show of the political hypocrites settling
scores among themselves. That mighty Ngogu Bah of all folks has finally bitten
the dust and like Nanama puts it, Mile received one of the tallest guests
yesterday.

The little
reference we can make to Buddhism is that the mighty Kama has hit the political
idiots. The spirit of the executed 9 prisoners and the many other mysterious
cases has started to haunt on its wrong doers. We all know most of those cases
were supposed to be judicially reviewed, and sadly some took the law into their
own hands.

The
conclusion is and as nicely argued by Demba on Gainako’s editorial, “Who Is
Next?” is certainly the next question to rhetorically ask. The Momodou Saballys
can hang in there just now….and like the Wollofs would say; “Yakamtee aduna,”
and I will add that it will get you exactly what you deserve.

Best
regards,

Yero.
