In deed there is so much we can do. I argued for the establishment of a
media fund to support these brave men who put their lives at risk everyday
 to fight injustice in Gambia.  I suggest we start a fund raising project,
 and I hereby pledge $100+ to buy equipments for The Independent. We
cannot  afford to wait for another brave journalist to be killed before we
take  heed.
After all The Independent is a constant victim of state orgnised arson,
criminal damage and attempted murders, all for our sake. Fellows, we
cannot  wait for philantropists out there to come to our rescue, we have
to go out  there and look for them or be the Philantropists, ourselves.
