The Brufut was a latter recipient of Yahya's largesse. This, as they observed community wealth being taken from them and their families and other communities receiving monetary gifts from Yahya. No community had taken a stand to refuse such "generousity" from Yahya. It took the people of Brufut accepting a gift from Yahya for Foroyaa to raise alarm bells about the insiduous nature of a President giving monies to communities. Research into earlier editorial and language may exonerate Foroyaa here. We look forward to it.

Haruna.

The latest batch to bag the Jammeh “jackpot” as we call it here at Freedom, is Gambia’s dockworkers Association. The dockworkers received a handsome donation of one million Dalasis from the President yesterday. The donation according to our mentally challenged President was as a result of the dockworkers excellent work on his Dobong farm.
The dockworkers were advised to judiciously manage the funds. They thanked Jammeh for extending such a generous donation to the Association. They also promised to put the money into good use.
The President who is increasingly worried about his future— is on a cash spree distribution amidst reports of his imminent demise as a leader of this country. Last week, he donated D2.7 Million dalasis to the people of Burufut.
In another development, Jammeh also donated D27,000 to the people of Gunjur. He also offered a bull ritual to the villagers so that they can pray for him and his Government. The bull was shared among villagers who prayed for Jammeh’s everlasting rule and good health.
