Dear list members,

it seems as in the area of Bakoteh a professional gang is responsible for
theft, breaking into houses and stealing. I heard from several people there
experiencing problem.

As we have our compound there unfortunately it also happened to us that our
house was broken while being absent for short time in the afternoon on the
12th of this month and some things were stolen. Among them cloth, good
quality kitchen knives and approx. 20 color negative films 24 takes ISO
100/21 brand PERUTZ, made in Germany, expiration date 01/2002 lot 8033 and
15 video tapes vhs c brand tdk HS45 45 min, made in Japan, red plastic
cover, international labeling, which I wanted to use to monitor some NGO
activities and get materials for my website.

From our neighbour compound, a church, musical instruments and a generator
have been stolen some time ago.

As these thieves took only things that are elegible for resale, I suspect
these things might be offered somewhere.

Maybe these things are offered to you I would be interested in knowing about
it. If you know about or experienced similar theft I would also appreciate
your contact.

Greetings
Angelika Prox Dampha
