I hope this is not the true story of what obtains in South Sudan. I understand that Al-Jazeera also has its own conflicts of interest. Whatever the case, I encourage President Salva Kiir to dispense with leaches and thieves in his own government.
The story is about a year or so old. And although Al-Jazeera may have conflicts of interest, the testimony of the presidential advisor Joseph Lagu should be most instructive. I'm going to look for other stories on South Sudan that are more recent and compiled by other news agencies. Perhaps there is a marked improvement over a year.
