Learnt a new idea from a TV pundit this afternoon between 2 WC soccer games.

Do away with 2-term presidency

Replace it with 1 term of 6 years.

Fascinating reasons
1) presidents will not do only politically palatable all of term 1
2)Campaigned to raise enough funds for re-election.
3)Spend 1st half of term 2 carelessly doing things of his ideology because
s/he would not face voters again
4) spend 2nd half of term 2 worried about his legacy and/or raising money
for presidential library.

Good thinker....and I like it.

The bigger lesson for us wanting democracy back home. America's system was
set deliberately to check some if these human vices yet over time it's
getting more and more abused. Hence in setting ours (if and when) taking
into account such experiences are indispensable.
