I bet Dokita Furupusu Lahaja Gee Gee Gee Jummeh would rather seal his ears with molten lava than see these words with his hooded eyes. No! Yaya Jumus Jenkang Jummeh does not want to hear about democracy or our country and future. He just wants to adore himself and be adored by everyone and to ride forever on the breaking backs of our oppressed people. So he would prate: "They come here and talk us to us about democracy when they have come here and oppressed our people for five hundred years. And when they invade and oppress other countries. I will never allow Africa to be colonized by the west again" and such such crap!! But hey, we know how they all end up - despots I mean.

Walahi Musa Jeng Fanneh! When I heard that part of the speech, I thought....Bilai Walai Talai.....may Allah bless you Obama. It is a blessing to have the "most powerful leader" leader in the world speak the language of the poor, the oppressed, the gagged and tyrannized. It is a relief in itself to hear him directly abhor the very acts of tyranny Gambians have been subjected to in the past 14 years. And, Musa, I can safely insinuate that SHEPAD was on Obama's mind when he drafted those lines....Thanks for high lighting it.

President Jammeh:
Below is an interesting comment from Presiden Obama's speech in Ghana. The more I read it, it becomes very clear to me that this is one statement you should put in front of your desk; how you respond to these words can make a huge difference to our country and future.
"This is about more than just holding elections. It's also about what happens between elections. (Applause.) Repression can take many forms, and too many nations, even those that have elections, are plagued by problems that condemn their people to poverty. No country is going to create wealth if its leaders exploit the economy to enrich themselves -- (applause) -- or if police -- if police can be bought off by drug traffickers. (Applause.) No business wants to invest in a place where the government skims 20 percent off the top -- (applause) -- or the head of the Port Authority is corrupt. No person wants to live in a society where the rule of law gives way to the rule of brutality and bribery. (Applause.) That is not democracy, that is tyranny, even if occasionally you sprinkle an election in there. And now is the time for that style of governance to end."
