 We have been informed via the note below by Mr. Sanneh that the family of Mai Fatty who have been kidnapped by the Basse Police Station on orders from Yahya and APRC have been released. We commend Yahya for his sobriety in this matter and we commend the people of Wulli, PDOIS, NRP, UDP and GMC members for their solidarity. High commendation also goes to Gambia's legal professionals for their sobriety and steadfast vigilance in the affair.

We expect that all those who were kidnapped along with Hon. Fatty's family were released and that such criminality is UNACCEPTABLE. Not now. Not any time in the future. We encourage Yahya and APRC in the following:

1. To redress the kidnapping of Hon. Femi Peters by throwing the allegation against him out of court and affording Hon. Peters and his family an apology and due compensation.

2. To release the GAMCOTRAP-2, remove their case permanently from the legal calendar, and expunge the allegations levelled against them. The Gambia must then sever all ties with Yolocamba Solidaridad until such a time that the Spanish organization becomes a bonafide NGO operating within the guidelines of Gambia's NGO charter.

3. To release Kanyibaa Kanyi and Chief Ebrima Manneh or de-minimis to compel his non-uniformed security services and militia to explain what happened to them and or produce their bodies in whatever form they are in.

4. To begin in earnest, the properly investigation into the callous assassination of Journalist Deyda Hydara.

Haruna.
Mr. Sanneh's note begins now:

Dear All;

I am pleased to inform you that the parents of Mai Fatty plus his younger have all been released from Police custody this morning and all alleged charges dropped against them. The case was withdrawn, again, by "higher authorities" according to officer Badgie, S/O of Basse Police station.

The Family of Mai Fatty and GMC are appreciative of all of your concern and active support towards the resolution of this crises. Thank you all and God Bless The Republic of The Gambia.

Wandifa Sanneh
