Subject: [>-<] Obituary / Dr. Alagy S. Jeng Has Died In Norway

 
Folks, 
            Greetings, the sad news of the death of Dr. Alagy S. Jeng in Norway is being relayed to all friends and family; especially the members of the G/Post and G/L. He was an active member and participant in both, and was there since their inception, with progressive and constructive contributions to the discussions and deliberations.We will all miss him for his great advices and educative contributions. Dr. Jeng was born in Kaur, Saloum and educated at GHS, after which he became a teacher in many schools in the Gambia; many of his former students are in various professions in Africa and around the world.He has done some great research on some areas on several foods of Africa and elsewhere in the world at the university as a lecturer.
 
Dr. Jeng is the elder brother of Mr. Musa Jeng of Atlanta, Georgia. Musa is also an active member of the Gambian diaspora, and also the current Chairman of AGERA ( an emergency relief association) based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Jeng has left a wife and family, and we send our condolences to all of them especially, his daughters, Saihou Jeng, Ebou Tann (Mboob) Alagy Jeng, Amie Jeng, Abdou Bittaye, Burr Jahas, and many many close relatives, we could not name them all.Alagy's contributions are numerous to list here especially in the field of scientific research at the university level and beyond.
