Niamorkono, Imokendeh.

I join you in support of Gamcotrap. They are doing yeoman's work in a country whose custodian is clueless and national assembly even more clueless. Gamcotrap has an uphill battle because not only are the national assembly members profusely aware of the health hazards of Female circumcision, they are one way or the other affected by the crude regime of delivering circumcision services and the danger to public health. However, fear will prevent them from carrying the message to their constituents.

Best wishes Gamcotrap. Haruna. Etohmaa.

> APA Banjul-(The Gambia) The executive director of the Banjul-based
> women's rights group, the Gambia Committee for the Prevention of
> Harmful Traditional Practices (GAMCOTRAP), on Monday disclosed that
> her organization was sensitizing the National Assembly members on the

>
> Dr Isatou Touray said, "female genital mutilation is a gross violation
