Uncle Mass, I share your sentiments on Cape Verde. They are the Botswana of West Africa.

Haruna.

Brother Haruna,
You absolutely right Cape Verde has been showing the world what Africans can do with democracy as they've always shown their maturity in politics since their great revolution with their partners Guinea Bissau against theri then colonial master Purtugal. America Cabral was indeed a great freedom fighter who stood for both countries when they were one nation. But since after his assasination in conakry and the two nations going their separate ways, Guinea Bissau has become a total failed State while cape Verde mavells beyond imaginations.
It is good for them and all Africa is happy for them. Remember they are about the size of the Gambia or even smaller, if they can do it we too can do better.
What do you think Fankung, Jeng/co?

With 90% of the precincts reporting, Fonseca has 54.53% of the vote while the incumbent Inocensio Sousa of the PAICV has 45.47%. Sousa is not contesting the results. It must be a great day in Cape Verde. Haruna.

AFP
