Tom,
Certainly, there are certain elements of truth in this article about The Gambia but I have also found this article malicious, ill-conceived and unfounded for the most part and intended to sway the independent judgment of its readers who does not know any better about The Gambia. This has been painted vividly, when the author/s stated that in Islam, "one can marry as many as four wives"...., which assertion is true but he/she went further to state, "and two girlfriends", as if that is legal and/or legitimate and it is an established norm in Islam. I found the later part of that statement both sarcastic and utterly disgusting to say the least.
I accordingly, consigned the whole article where it belongs, the dustbins.
OB.
