Gods know when Halifa and PDOIS will stop this irrational philosophical bickering to gain legitimacy. They are aloof with your stand and it is not helpful. It is a still a clear case residential political autism condition- the manifestion Autism and its challenge behavourial conditiond.

Indeed Demba.

The only thing I know about Consensus is that it cannot be obtained from only your partisans. The idea of consensus is to be able to reach across dissenting and divergent views and positions and to fashion from that a generic agreement on basic principles. If you absent yourself from congresses that are supposed to be the platform for that outreach, then I know not what PDOIS means by consensus.

It has always been apparent for time immemorial, that the opposition in Gambia, for one reason or other, either because of the adverse ambiance in Gambia or the atmospherics, has been incapable of that outreach and consensus-building. If they were able, there would not have been a need for a Raleigh or London congress. Sometimes, if the environment in Basse is not conducive to consensus, you are best advised to congress in Kaur.

If you actually read PDOIS' entire reasoning, I am confident you will find that you have heard it before. From PDOIS. There is hardly any new theory you can share if your basic position is inflexible and you have a disdain for playing second-fiddle to your fellows. PDOIS has been instrumental in conveying all the wrong messages that they do not wish for an effective united front to remove Yahya.

Thanks Demba for sharing.

Haruna.

I don't blame you cousin Haruna.. We are simply conveying the message and are equally amused on the reasoning behind this one... But it is important to dissect because this CONSENSUS argument is what PDOIS has been holding on to since the early days of NADD... remember those days? This needs to be flushed out in other to give Gambia a chance to move forward.... read this this extract "or convey the wrong impression that they are so divided that they could not forge a United Front for Democratic change". Isn't this the fact!!! I thought facts matters right?

Thanks for reading though...

Demba

I do not even have the time nor the energy to read this Cousin Demba. No offense to Gainako but it was a simple invitation to deliberate on public Gambia enterprise. I am not interested in the reasons why PDOIS did not honor the invite.

Thanks for sharing though Demba.

There comes a time in the life of a person or group of persons to eschew the trivial and focus on commoner relief. Really.

Haruna.

The PDOIS received a letter from the organizers of the Raleigh Conference inviting the Secretary General of PDOIS to a Conference to be held in Raleigh North Carolina from the 18th to 20th May aimed at deliberating on strategies and tactics on how to effect peaceful change in the Gambia .
The Central Committee of PDOIS met to review the invitation and came to the conclusion that two preliminary steps are necessary before such a meeting could take place in a manner that would yield the desired results of a national consensus on strategies and tactics for peaceful political change. First and foremost, the opposition at home had to arrive at a consensus on the way forward at the meeting or convey the wrong impression that they are so divided that they could not forge a United Front for Democratic change. Secondly, the Diaspora also had to meet and develop a consensus on the way forward failing which opinions could be so divided at the meeting that the way forward could become illusive.
