Sorry and thanks. I meant to write Ndey Anta Sankareh (Laama's wife) and not her elder sister Fatou kinneh Sankareh.  Was shocked reading the passing away of Pa Alasan thus the mistake.  Anyway may the soul of the great man rest in peace.

It is indeed a sad lost to the Jallow family and the Gainako family as well. Our deepest condolence to Lama, his wife Ndey Anta and all friends and love ones. May the Almighty Allah grant the decease Jahna and give the family strength and protect them during this difficult times. May his soul rest in perfect peace! Amin!

Gainako's Co-editor, Mr. Momodou Lamma Jallow of North Carolina (USA) lost his father, Mr. Alj. Alasan Jallow, fondly called Baba Alasan of Latrikunda (The Gambia.) The sad event took place today April 27th 2009. 
The family members and those that know the late Baba Alasan described him as a pious Muslim; one full of love and wisdom. 
As you pray, please make dua for the deceased and his family members.
On behalf of Baldeh, Myself and the entire Gainako team, we pay tribute to a fallen parent. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen!
