Once again, it is saddening to see the continuation of this regime for another five years. Personally, my reason for this is not born out of any other reason other than their engagement in terror. From day one, Jammeh has utilized state resources to terrorize, intimidate, and oppress the Gambian people. I know his supporters will blow the whistle as to how come such has not reflected in the votes. The reason for that is not far-fetched and things of this nature are not un-common in a dictatorial type of administration. For example, both Saddam Hussein and Ghadaffi used to pull at least 96% of the votes for another mandate. The question is not where are the two now but how was their ending. Similar ending is in the pipeline for any iron-fist ruler.

From here on, those that support the terror regime must begin to sit on eggs. The administration is ever more fragile in its pseudo-pillars. If the terror on innocent citizens is not brought to a complete stop, there is something of an ending (the Arab Spring) that does things faster and even yields a fair result. Those that blindly think that this is a mandate to continue the state terror that engulfed us for so long must begin to think twice now. Those whose hands are dirty with blood must as well continue to wish that their foot prints are erased or wish that this regime continue so they can buy time.

There is no giving up on continuing to criticize (harsh or mild) the Jammeh administration. In as much they continue to arrest, maim, oppress, suppress, and kill citizens, people will continue to call for equality, justice, and human rights. There is nothing less, nothing more to this.

Long Live the Gambia!
Long Live the Gambian people!!
Down with dictatorship everywhere!
Down with Jammeh and his cronies!!!

Thanks,

Yero
