Here is another call, a chilling reminder, that most Diaspora
organizations are rendered functionless. I do not know Dr. Conteh with due respect and I am
not dismissive of his call, nor is this review directed at him; however, I want
to clearly position that people are tired of some of these pet projects that
don’t live longer than a snow flake released in a sunny weather. What follows?
Nasty politics, insults, nonsense, etc… Look, people get bills to pay, some families
to take care, some meaningful struggle to pay heed to, some reflections to
make, and some God to serve. I don’t like anyone playing with our wounds and
emotions, because the pain is ours. If some of these aftermaths position
grabbers don’t stop taking us for political tomfoolery, Oba high up, will
strike with all His might, and you blame yourself when that ugly bitch Karma
strike the hypocrisy out of your politics.
Unity, which unity, my friends? Is politics the nasty ass
bitch? Or is it the players? One, the other, or both. Empty rhetoric with or
without substance. What happened to all the mighty roars from the pacing lions,
lionesses, cubs, etc…? I sure need an answer.
One thing is clear, unless you have the Gambia at heart, and
freed yourself from your inner devils, egos, and political hypocrisy, this
country ain’t going nowhere. How about we-the-other-citizens too got it?
And Hue, please read carefully before you respond, as I am
not attacking anyone, and I am about to declare myself “nuke nation” and to test
my nuke power too, before the world war III starts, as anyone who is not armed,
will be become a victim of preying or being starved to death from the fat cats
about to dip their claws in the main dish.
All I am saying is, “koo gish moi dorr dehnam, duu mom.” In
Jola, we say, “kaaleh luu” in seeking protection from orchestrated evil.
Bring me the next unity group ….
