Habib,
If the practice was to adjust everything to the present World conditions, we
would not have anything of the Prophet's(SAS) sunnah and the directives of
the Qu'ran left, since we as humans are weak, and temptation strong. Islam
is not a religion whose directives one adjusts as it suits them. This deen
has very clear and concise directives, and one either follows it, or
innovates to suit their whims, or just plain leaves it alone. The point
here is that we are not even supposed to build tumbs, and now we have people
arguing about revering them.If anyone thinks this is OK, then it is their own
addition, and the directive about that is also very clear.
It is not easy to practice this deen,so inshallah, may Allah help us in our
efforts to do so in exactly the manner it was demonstrated to us by his
Prophet, and as laid out for us in the Qur'an. There is a hadith of Aisha
(RA) in which she says that the Prophet said that, if anyone innovates a
thing in this religion, meaning that they practice or add something that
was not advocated by Rasolallah or the Qur'an, thinking that it will bring
them close to Allah, it will be rejected.May Allah help us to recognize fact
from fiction, and keep us on the straight path so that our supplications to
him are not in vain.Ameen.
