Thanks for bringing this Jola Syndrome once again to the public debate.
The Cassamance situation is gradually evolving into another fatal
dimension.  I recently learned some disturbing issues from very
sensitive sources about the Kanilai-Cassamance drug trail.   The Attika
(MFDC armed wing) have mined the surroundings of some designated "sacred
forests" where cannabis is culvitated, processed and transferred to
Kanilai, for shipment to Europe usually under Gambian diplomatic pouch.
The profits of this illicit trade is used to fill the separatists' war
chest.  This ethno-nationalist syndrome is soon to hatch into a full
blown war in the sub-region.
