Suntou,

Thanx for sharing the Foroyaa story on Gainako. I think it is laudable for Foroyaa and I find the article to be an installment in opposition synergy that we all yearn for. You may be reading the article differently but I encourage you to give it another read. It is to be commended because it is an amicus brief of sorts and can only butress the UDP's exercise of her constitutional rights. I look forward to your second read and perhaps more benign impression.
Haruna.

Subject: Political opportunism (Foroyaas coverage of Peters arrest)

In has much i wish to avoid focusing on the style the foroyya news
aper adopted in reporting the UDP rally and subsiquent events, one
annot but comment on their strategic ploy to make the issue down bit.
he Foroyaa reportage culled from www.gainako.com higligthed serious
pportunism on the part of Foroyaa the arm of PDOIS. They claim that,
hatever was mention on the UDP rally was reported by their paper. As
f rallies are the same as news paper items. If it is trust and mutual
ooperation we are all advocating, the Foroyaa should change its
tance and see to it that, their views or way is not the only way.
We want to respect the persons and agendas of all the opposition, try
o bridge the gabs, therefore, Foroyaa activitiues on this issue is
nprofessional and politically bias.

n an earlier coverage on the episode, Foroyya went as far as quote a
umber to the people that attended the rally. Were they guessing or
id they actually count the number of people that attended the rally?
oroyaa should do its best to always be seen to be independent of
DOIS, if not their side of stories like this will be rejected and/or
aken with a pinch of salt.
